traces its roots to the Community and Entrepreneurial Development Initiative (CEDI Ghana), founded in 2015 by a coalition of professors, visionary entrepreneurs, and non-partisan senior government officials committed to Ghana’s development. The initiative was led by Kingsley Kwaku Pinkrah, a distinguished social entrepreneur and visionary leader, with foundational support from Prof. Dr. Lawrence Lowell (Lecturer), H.E. Atta Boafo Kingsley (Former Consular, New York and NPP statesman), and late Hon. Alhaji Abdul Lateef Majdoub (District Chief Executive and NDC statesman).

In its early years, CEDI Ghana gained momentum through funding support from the BUSAC Fund, a DANIDA and USAID-funded initiative. The organization focused on providing advocacy support to address private sector challenges and drive socio-economic transformation. Through high-level policy dialogues with ministers of state, diplomats, academics, and business leaders, CEDI Ghana became a trusted platform for shaping national conversations on development. By 2017, with the support of Professor Emeritus Stephen Adei (First Rector of GIMPA) and the late Nana Dr. Michael Agyekum Addo (Founder of KAMA Group, now Mikaddo Holdings), the organization expanded its focus to entrepreneurship and innovation, helping young entrepreneurs and SMEs start, grow, and scale sustainable businesses.
